Rule 117
Central Judicial Sector Coordination Committee
(1) There will be a Central Judicial Sector Coordinating Committee in the court to coordinate the work of the court, subordinate courts and judicial bodies in an orderly manner.
(2) The constitution of the committee as per sub-rule (1) shall be as follows:-
(a) One Judge of the Court designated by the Chief Justice—the President (b) such other Judges of the Court as may be required by the Chief Justice -Members (c) one Chief Justice of the High Court appointed by the Chief Justice - Member (d) Executive Director, National Judicial Foundation – Member (e) Chief Registrarp; – Member
(f) Secretary, Ministry of Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs – Member (g) Secretary, Judicial Council -Member (h) Registrar – Member (i) Deputy Attorney General appointed by the Attorney General – Member (j) Additional Inspector General of Police-Member appointed by the Inspector General of Police (k) One District Judge appointed by the Chief Justice – Member (l) President, Nepal Bar Association – Member (d) Joint Secretary, Ministry of Finance – Member (d) Joint Secretary, NationalCounting Commission –Member (n) Director General, Prison Management Department -Member (i) Director General -Member (th) President, Supreme Court Bar Association -Member (d) two members representing civil society including at least one woman nominated by the Chief Justice; (d) Sub-Registrar of Courts designated by the Chief Registrar - Member - Secretary
(3) The term of office of the member as per clause (d) of sub-rule (1) shall be two years.
(4) In the meeting of the committee according to sub-rule (1), the representatives of other related bodies can be invited according to the need.
(5) The work, duties and rights of the committee under sub-rule (1) shall be as follows:-
(a) To make the judicial work process faster and more efficient and to improve people's access to justice, to develop relations between the concerned agencies and to maintain the necessary coordination,
(b) To monitor the work of the Justice Sector Coordinating Committee in the High Court and District Court and to ensure greater effectiveness in the work of those committees.To direct the necessary route,
(c) To coordinate and co-operate with concerned agencies to effectively implement the judgment,
(d) To promote mutual coordination and cooperation between the concerned bodies to implement the periodic strategic plan of the Judiciary,
(e) To maintain coordination with the relevant agencies to strengthen the security system of the court.
(6) Notwithstanding anything written in sub-rule (5), in the meeting of the Central Judiciary Coordinating Committee, no case pending in the court, personal conduct of any officer and purely internal matter unrelated to any other body shall be discussed.
